This is the first outdoor art show for Charlie Hunt as a vendor. Charlie loves people and enjoyed talking with patrons and other photographers who frequently stopped to say how much they liked his work. It was a very professionally affirming event for Charlie.
The first image Charlie sold was The Moon, an abstract photograph. Soon after that two more prints sold, Allium and Portland Light. This buyer was kind enough to understand we were not yet set up to take credit cards and paid with cash instead.
That evening we experienced a torrential thunderstorm. The neighbor’s tent was picked up by the wind and parts landed on Charlies tent. We were so new to this, we still had cardboard boxes for the artwork. We worked quickly to cover everything with tarps. It was lucky we had the tarps.
Another neat thing that happened is that Belfast Community Television interviewed a bunch of vendors for the Good Morning Belfast show. They interviewed Charlie! See it here:
